Galaxy Mini Samsung and Samsung Galaxy 5 two Android-based smartphone is targeted at budget conscious consumers who want to have a sense of the latest technology without having to shell out extra for bells and whistles of higher end models. However, which of the two has the best bang for your buck?

While both Samsung and Samsung Mini Galaxy Galaxy 5 is supported by a 600MHz processor, a former walk on the new Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS while the latter is still on Android 2.1 (Eclair) OS. Further tests also revealed that Samsung Galaxy Mini, though its namesake, has a slightly larger screen at 3.14 inches compared to the Samsung screen Galaxy 5 at 2.8 inches.
Both smartphones are comparable in terms of their internal memory, although the Samsung Galaxy 5 takes one home to have more memory at 170MB as opposed to 160MB Samsung Galaxy Mini. But in terms of memory expansion, Samsung Galaxy Mini Samsung's win over the Galaxy 5 with support up to 32GB MicroSD storage space, which is double the 16GB limit of the latter.
